Aerie Farms was founded in Portland, OR in 2016, as just a few chickens and a deep love of plants, and made the move to 70 acres near Silverton, Oregon in 2018. On a southwest-facing hillside between 800-1200ft elevation in the fertile Willamette Valley, Joshua Reich and Krystal South raise mini-nubian goats, English heritage breed fiber sheep, and a growing array of poultry alongside organic gardens, pastures, and forest nursery. Using the principles of permaculture, regenerative agriculture, and native plant reforestation, we aim to improve the land we are lucky to call our home with sustainable techniques both new and old. We treat our animals and the environment with utmost respect and empathy, and are looking forward to a lifetime of learning from our land.
